The History Museum of Gyumri on the first floor of the Gyumri Municipality building introduces visitors to the history of Kumayri-Alexandrapol-Gyumri. The museum differs from other urban museums in its content. The archeological finds presented here are a vivid proof of the history of Gyumri for thousands of years. 19th century fortress and extensive urban development tell the story of the city's unique architectural core. The formation of local self-government bodies - a collection of unique documents related to it, the development of crafts, high-quality jewelry and silversmith designs, a unique collection of cameras, famous theater, paintings and other important spheres of urban life - prove the high urban culture of Gyumri. The museum presents the organization of educational work in the 19th century, the spread of enlightenment, the works of art of the great Alexandropolians and research works. Alexandropol troubadour art and professional music are presented in the museum.
