The master of colors, Minas Avetisyan, Honored Artist of Armenia, is one of the most prominent figures of Armenian painting of the second half of the 20th century. His artistic worldview, style and taste were mainly influenced by Armenian medieval miniature painting, Italian Renaissance painting and the art of Martiros Saryan.In his 15-year creative life, Minas has managed to create about 500 large and small canvases, the same number of drawings, 20 murals. Minas was doing ballet and theatrical productions. He is the author of the compositions of "Almast" opera and Aram Khachaturian "Gayane" ballet. Aram Khachatryan admired the artist's talent. "Minas's temperament is strong, bright… He transferred his powerful symphony in theatrical painting." Minas Avetisyan Museum was founded in 1982 in the village of Jajur, the artist's birthplace.
