- The Stepan Shahumyan House-Museum was opened in Stepanavan on November 29, 1934.
- The house belonged to his father-in-law - Sergey Ter-Grigoryan.
- In 1978 a memorial complex was built on the occasion of Stepan Shahumyan's 100th anniversary, which included a house-museum.
In 1923, the city of Jalaloghly was renamed Stepanavan in honor of the great revolutionary, politician, literary critic Stepan Shahumyan, who was born in Tbilisi (Georgia) but began his career in Jalaloghly, where the first Marxist group was formed under his leadership in 1895-1899. In 1991, after Armenia's independence, the house-museum was reorganized into a cultural and entertainment center.
Through the efforts of the museum staff, the city's history museum was established with the aim of collecting, preserving the material, caring, cultural values of the region, the past, the present, the city of the past, saving them from the danger of oblivion, passing important documents and photos to future generations.

The museum gives its visitors a complete picture of the life and culture of the city's ancestors. The museum still presents various exhibitions of different creators. The center has had a puppet theater and ensemble since 2006, which serve the community on a charitable basis.
Purchase policy
You can purchase this service in full or book it for a small fee (booking voucher). If you purchase a booking voucher, you pay the rest of the cost of the service of your choice on the spot before providing the service.
