Albert Vardanyan, his two sons, Hrachya Vardanyan, Avetik Vardanyan, are among the most talented and famous artists in Gyumri. Travelers in Gyumri should not miss the opportunity to visit the Vardanyans' house and studio. It is located in the village of Akhuryan, just six kilometers from the center of the historic center of Gyumri. Albert is a sculptor who works with a variety of materials: wax, plaster, stone, clay and bronze. Working as a lecturer at the Gyumri branch of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia, Albert's artistic vision in his sculptures conveys not only the spirit of ancient Armenia, but also the national-folk mentality found in modern Armenian art. Visitors to his studio will see the whole process of creating a work of art, from design to modeling, casting to final processing. Albert sculptures can be found in many countries around the world. Albert's eldest son, Hrachyan, is an artist who creates works of art from a variety of materials on display around the world. Hrachya's paintings have the same ideological roots as his father, but differ in their technique and presentation. Hrachyan often uses woven materials that reflect the well-known traditions of Armenian carpet weaving տալիս provide innovative solutions through color և depth. Like his father, Hrachyan teaches at the Gyumri branch of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia. Albert's younger son, Avetik, is an architect who draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including Gyumri architecture, local stone, wood, landscapes, and Christianity. For example, Avetik has created a number of different handmade notebooks and photo albums with wooden covers. He works with his brother Hrachya.
