During the tour we:

• We will visit the Church of St. Gevorg in Mukhni, which dates from the 13th-15th centuries. It was a famous pilgrimage site where manuscripts were copied. In 1632-1655 the head of the monastery Bishop Martiros demolished the dilapidated church and other buildings and built a new one - a three-aisled basilica with two pairs of columns, fences and cells. However, in the second half of the 17th century this church, built of rough stone, did not meet the requirements of the pan-Armenian place of pilgrimage, and in 1664-1669. Hovhannes built a new one. In 2000 the monastery was repaired and the territory was landscaped under the supervision of Archbishop Mesrop Ashchian. On October 8, 2000. On 8 October 2000 Catholicos Garegin II Nersisyan consecrated the St. Gevorg Church in Mukhni.
• We will visit the Garni temple, which is the only structure of the periptere type (chapel surrounded by four columns), typical of Hellenistic architecture that has survived on the territory of Armenia. The temple is located in the village of Garni, Kotayk region, on the right bank of the river Azat. The temple is believed to have been dedicated to the sun god -Mihr. The complex includes a Roman bath, a royal summer house and a church from the 7th century. The mosaic floor of the bathroom is still intact and consists of 15 colors of natural stones. Garni Historical and Cultural Complex was awarded by UNESCO in 2011.
• We will head to the Symphony of Stones or "Basalt Organ", a natural monument located on the bank of the Azat River, near the village of Garni. It is included in the list of natural monuments of the Republic of Armenia. The symphony is represented by giant pentagonal to hexagonal basalt columns (about 50 m high), which seem to be handmade because of their amazing symmetry. Created by nature, the row of columns hanging from the river resembles a musical instrument - the "Basalt Organ". The Azat River flows through the gorge, filling the stone splendor with the noise of water.
• The Geghard Monastery is located near the village of Goght of Kotayk region, in the upper reaches of the Azat River, on the right bank. The famous spear with which a Roman soldier pierced the side of Christ is kept here. The Apostle Thaddeus, one of the first preachers of Christianity, brought it to Armenia. Now it is in a museum in Vagharshapat. The Geghard Monastery is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The main group of monuments, created in the 13th century, includes the main church of Katoghike՛, a vestibule, 2 churches carved in the rock, a chapel-shrine.
