Discover the Armenian countryside with us – during this tour we will explore together one of the largest freshwater, high-altitude lakes – Lake Sevan and Sevanavank monastery, built by the princess Mariam in 874. Then in Dilijan the betaking forests will surround you. The next stop is well-known travel destination in Armenia – Hagharstin Monastery – its beauty is breathkaing unreal. Hasghartsin monastery was built in the 10th century by the Bagratuni dynasty. It was built in the place of pagan temple. This amazing complex includes 4 churches and cross-stones (khachkars). During this tour we will also visit Lake Parz, where you can admire the beautiful view and use some activity services. During this tour we will go also to the Deer Farm, where we will see the deer and feed them.։

Stop 1. Sevan Lake

Lake Sevan is a large, high-altitude lake in eastern Armenia. It's known for its beaches. Set on a narrow peninsula, the Sevanavank Monastery has 2 stone churches dating to the 9th century. To the south, Hayravank Monastery overlooks the lake from a rocky outcrop. Noratus Cemetery has hundreds of carved stone khachkar memorials.

Sevanavank is located on the peninsula of Sevan. In 305, it was founded by St. Gregory the Illuminator, who built the church on the place of a pagan temple. In the 9th century the princes of Syunik made Sevan a point of their suppurt. In 874 the wife of the Syunik prince Vassak and the daughter of the king Ashot Bagratuni – Mariam built here two churches – St. Arakeloc and St. Astvatcatcin.

Haghartsin monastery is a spiritual and cultural center of medieval Armenia, located 12 km from Dilijan, surrounded by thick woods, beautiful landscapes. It is considered to be a unique example of architecture and nature harmony. The Haghartsin monument is located on a plateau surrounded by forested mountains, far beyond the settlements, with remarkable architectural value monuments and over hundreds of inscriptions, which contain rich material on the socio-political history of medieval Armenia.

Lake Parz is a small lake located in the Dilijan National Park east of Dilijan in Armenia. The lake was formed by natural climatic changes. In 2017, the Transcaucasian Trail was created to connect Parz Lake with the town of Dilijan and in the opposite direction with Gosh village and Gosh Lake.
