Kumayri Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve was founded in 1980 with the aim of preserving the cultural heritage of Alexandropol of the 19th and 20th centuries. About 1200 monuments of architecture are registered in the reserve-museum, which make up the territory of Kumairi Museum-Reserve.
The Kumayri Museum Preserve implements:
- Registration, mapping, control of architectural monuments of the protected area, protection of the historical and cultural environment
- Preservation of stock samples, collection, compilation of catalogs
- Research work, Restoration of architectural monuments and stock exhibits
- City tours in the territory of the historical and cultural reserve-museum "Kumayri"
