The route Odzun-Ardvi passes through fields and gardens, you will meet people engaged in agriculture, see the church of St. Hovhannes in Ardvi, the natural monument "Snake navel", then walk to Surb Nshan, which is located at the edge of the gorge. From there you can see the monastery of Horomayr. Then we will walk to St. Maryam Astvatsatsin Church in Odzun, after which we will return to the guest house.

The Church of St. Hovhannes in Ardvi was built in the 13th century, with a large tombstone of Hovhannes G. Odznetsi in front of the northern church. The bell tower of the church was built in the 17th century and there is a medieval cemetery with cross-stones to the east. The monastery was equipped with outbuildings, the ruins are preserved. Church of St. Hovhannes was renovated in the 19th century, in 1902 and in 2018.

The church of St. Nshan was built by the brothers Zakare and Ivane in the 7th century, completed in the 14th century, are single-nave vaulted churches with a basalt vestibule between them. Medieval tombs are scattered around the monastery, the monastery of Oromayr is visible from the edge of the gorge.

Odzun Church a domed basilica church rising in the center of the village, was built in the fifth century, on the site of an earlier single-nave basilica church built by Trdat III in the fourth century. In the V century there was a three-nave basilica with a tiled roof, and in the VI century the domed pillars, dome and stone vaults were enlarged. In 1888, the Abovian family added belfries. The church was also called Sourb Astvatsatsin, Sourb Nshan, Sourb Hovhannes, Khachgond and Khachgund. The last one was named after Khachgund, the priest buried in the cemetery. In 1291 a cross-stone decorated with an inscription was set up in memory of Khachgund. Next to the church stands a monument from the early Christian period, which is a magnificent monument marking the victory of Christianity in Armenia.

Historical and cultural monuments are located in the bosom of nature, at the foot of the forest, in particular the church of St. Hovhannes Ardvi, next to which there is a natural monument - "Snake Port", which looks like a snake carved into the rock.

If necessary, we will organize a picnic outdoors, tell stories typical of the locals.
