Vanadzor, the regional center of Lori, located in the northern part of Armenia, is located in the valley of Pambak and Bazum mountains. In Soviet times, it was a powerful industrial, but at the same time resort and tourist city. Destroyed factories create a unique atmosphere in the city.
I invite you to take part in a photo tour of the city, for which I have planned the following route: Vanadzor Hayk Square - ''Tutu Jur'' Recreation Area - Tagavoranist.
Detailed route description:
- "Tagavoranist" / B.C. 3-2 millennia / is an ancient settlement located in the "Dimatz" area of Vanadzor municipality. The hill, which is a subdivision, a height of 1519 m is located in the northeastern part of the city, at the confluence of the rivers Pambak and Tandzut. In the 10th century, this place was the residence of Ashot Bagratuni III Vogormats (hence the name "Tagavoranist", Armenian Tagavor - King) Here and the king spent the night visiting the monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin. The ancient city is unique in its historical significance, as it includes three periods in the history of Armenia simultaneously: prehistoric, the ancient Stone Age and the Middle Ages.
- The road leading to "Tagavoranist" passes through the "Tutu Jur" or "Sour Water" recreation area. In the late 1970s, a mineral spring was discovered on the territory of one of the factories of Kirovakan (Vanadzor), and it was piped in to make it accessible to the population. After some time the area was built up /architect N. Ohanyan/. Then the area became one of the favorite places of the townspeople under the name of "Tutu Jur". It is located right on the bank of the river Tandzut.
- Features of the mineral water flowing here: Unlike other mineral springs in the country, the water is cold, 16-17 degrees, of medium mineral content, rich in biologically valuable homogeneity. It contains such a ratio of cations (positive) and anions (negative) that does not harm the body when used frequently. The mineral water of Vanadzor is called "the Armenian Narzan" by specialists.

Purchase policy
You can purchase this service in full or book it for a small fee (booking voucher). If you purchase a booking voucher, you pay the rest of the cost of the service of your choice on the spot before providing the service.
The purchase or booking should be done at least 48 hours in advance. In case of reservations made after that, complications may arise during the organization of the service. Please, read carefully about the service information and if necessary, take with you your passport or other identification document (ex. Driving license) and wear appropriate clothes (if it is mentioned on the page of the service). Please check availability before visiting.
Attention: The booking voucher is for one-time use of the service you purchased.
In order to use the service, in case of purchasing both full and booking vouchers, it is necessary to submit the purchase receipt electronically or in print (QR code).
Cancellation policy
Cancellation can be made only in case of full purchase. In case of cancellation of the booking voucher the money will not be refunded, but that can be used for another day or for purchasing another service.
Without any penalty full purchase cancellation is available at least 24 hours in advance. After that, the whole value of the service is non-refundable in case of purchase, cancellation, as well as without the consent of the service provider. The date can only be changed at least 24 hours before the first day of the service, with the consent of the partner, according to the availability of those days.
