The Northern Lori region of Armenia is a veritable park of gorges, canyons that cut through the mountains surrounding the river valleys. These exceptionally green gorges formed by large rivers and mountain streams. At the same time, they are remarkable as examples of ancient civilization. Not only the beauty of nature, but also the impressive architectural monuments delight visitors at first sight. The careful harmony of nature, of human creation seems eternal in every corner of the northern forests.

This seldom-used trail connecting the textured and southern edges of the gorge provides a magnificent view of the beautiful natural abyss. You will go down the forgotten road to the river bank. On the right and left bank of Dzoraget you will find medieval fortresses carved on vertical brown rocks: The castles of sister and brother. Then he continued on the road along the river, laying down the bridge, discovering the 7th century Hnevank. Continuing the 3 km uphill, you will visit the medieval Kurtan Monastery on the southern edge of the gorge, the adjacent plain of which was last discovered in prehistoric settlements, surrounded by a dense network of late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age cromlechs.

Tips for this tour

Purchase policy

Cancellation policy
Cancellation can be made only in case of full purchase. In case of cancellation of the booking voucher the money will not be refunded, but that can be used for another day or for purchasing another service.
Without any penalty full purchase cancellation is available at least 24 hours in advance. After that, the whole value of the service is non-refundable in case of purchase, cancellation, as well as without the consent of the service provider. The date can only be changed at least 24 hours before the first day of the service, with the consent of the partner, according to the availability of those days.
