Lori is one of the rich historical regions of Armenia. Here all the building heritage of the Bagratuniv dynasties of Lori is particularly well preserved: the Kyurikian, the Zakarian and the Mamikonian. Each village or town is presented before us with ancient churches and fortifications that represent the powerful defensive line of the Lori Gorge. These are Lori Fortress, Akhtala Fortress, Kayan Fortress, Zarni-Parni cave complex and a number of such fortresses. However, all these ancient monasteries and fortresses are connected by medieval hiking trails that only the monks knew about.
One such path has existed since ancient times, connecting Kobair and Oromair, from where one could reach the famous Ozun Basilica. The path passes through green alleys and bare rocks, connecting the monastery-fortress of Cobair with the library of the monastery of Oromair. From Verin Oromair, which hangs from the top of a cliff right on the slope of the gorge, we can see the huge gorge of the Debed River and admire the flight of Caucasian eagles.
First we will get acquainted with Kobayr, one of the famous monasteries of the XIII century, which is a fortress-monastery, hidden on the top of the cliffs. There are frescoes preserved here, which are unique in Armenian church and fresco art. Then we will walk along a road crowned with medieval settlements and churches, during which we will study the history of the making of Armenian cross-stones, see winged crosses that are an exception, get acquainted with some abandoned settlements and if weather permits we will descend to an ancient winery discovered here about 3 years ago during road works.
The entire journey will take place with historical and archaeological analysis and a series of marvelous scenes. We will explore this wonderful piece of the Lori Gorge and crown our memory with another piece of heaven. It is very important that everyone who comes is prepared for such beauty and such a miracle of history.

Climbing up, the main road runs parallel to the rocky section, a steep climb is expected only at the end of the road, on the 150-meter from Nerkin Horomair to Verin Horomair.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation can be made only in case of full purchase. In case of cancellation of the booking voucher the money will not be refunded, but that can be used for another day or for purchasing another service.
Without any penalty full purchase cancellation is available at least 24 hours in advance. After that, the whole value of the service is non-refundable in case of purchase, cancellation, as well as without the consent of the service provider. The date can only be changed at least 24 hours before the first day of the service, with the consent of the partner, according to the availability of those days.
